Our overdyed rugs are all hand-knotted vintage Turkish rugs, carefully restored and reimagined in our workshop to suit a wide range of interior design styles — from modern and minimalist to coastal, industrial, or rustic cottage aesthetics.
Each rug is an authentic 50 to 70-year-old piece, originally handwoven in Southern and Central Anatolia, Turkey, using organic sheep’s wool on a cotton foundation. Their original designs draw inspiration from diverse weaving traditions — including Persian, Ottoman, Central Asian, French Aubusson, and Chinese motifs.
Our goal in upcycling these vintage carpets is to blend a contemporary feel with their naturally aged, timeworn character — achieving a perfect balance of sophistication and history. We personally travel across Turkey to source these beautiful, once-beloved rugs from local homes.
In our Aksaray workshop, each rug undergoes a meticulous transformation process: washing cleaning, sun-fading, shearing, and over-dyeing. This careful, months-long process revives the rugs’ texture and color while preserving their handmade charm.
